Installing/Compiling/Debian instructions out of date - dpkg-buildpackage

Description

the compilation instructions on the TutorialInstallation wiki page are out of date - dpkg-buildpackage doesn't work, because the debian directory has been removed (I think). Please update the instructions. I'd take steps to try to do it myself, but I don't know the answer.

You are correct in that it was removed in the recent release. From the NEWS file:

- 1.4.8 - 2005-11-23

  * removed debian/ dir from source package on request by packager

Judging from the ITP report (http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=304271) it looks like the is an intention to have an official debian package at some point. (There has even been some traffic on the associated mailing list since the packaging project was created on Alioth: http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/pkg-lighttpd-maintainers/).

The question is whether Krzysztof or Torsten publish their .deb's somewhere outside the Debian FTP-archive in the meantime?
